Principal’s Message

As Principal I am hugely impressed by the commitment of the school and the staff to the provision of an excellent all-round education for our students. Under my leadership, and as a team working together, we strongly promote academic achievement among our students. The cultural, sporting and other successes of all of our students and staff are also proudly celebrated together.

We provide an appealing and stimulating curriculum that is flexible, cost effective and tailored to the needs of each and every student as we strive for high educational outcomes and personal bests for all of our students. Our passionate teachers ensure our students grow in confidence and capabilities and develop the skills for the rapidly changing, 21st century living. Engaging learning programs that cater for individual differences and learning styles are devised and delivered by our skilled, talented and dedicated teachers. We develop in each of our students a curious, enquiring and discriminating mind, a desire for knowledge and a set of skills; linguistic, mathematical, scientific, artistic, physical, emotional and social.

Having an energetic management behind me, upon high demand, this year we decided to take another leap in our expansion of this school by initiating our new branch ROTARY COLLEGE for the students who wish to advance their education in Sinhala medium. During this short period, it has already turned out to be a prosperity.

Rotary International School reached its climax this year by introducing the Advanced Level streams giving a new complexion to the school. We are proud to say that many of our students who completed their O/Ls continued to stay with us for the next two years as well.

In the field of sports, we have introduced table tennis as a new sport to our school and since we have made one sport is compulsory for every student, many are showing a keen interest in participating in it.

Let me now thank all my beloved parents who had been my pillar of strength as all times. Your invaluable participation in our school activities is the result that we see in front of our eyes and that is what gives me and my teachers the courage to do more and more things.

With a long and rewarding history of achievement in education behind us, our school community continues to move forward together with confidence, pride and enthusiasm.
